In related news, Off the Record will release Way of the Hoof on Limited edition CD (July 22) and vinyl LP (September 30) formats, distributed by Clear Spot. Pre-order the album at this location.

Recorded at SpaceLab 420 Studios, Way of the Hoof is perfect for anyone who enjoys the kind of groove that makes you want to smoke out, grill out, and chill with the swine. Hailing from Monroe, LA and featuring heavy (literally and figuratively) influence from genre-legends like SLEEP, THE MELVINS, KYUSS and FU MANCHU, BOUDAINis ready to unleash their sun-blistered, misery-laden brand of stoner metal on audiences nationwide with Way Of the Hoof.

"Right at the start of grilling season seems the perfect time for a record that smokes the way this one does. With just a bit of gristle."

- The Obelisk

"A brilliantly entertaining album from start to finish."

- Outlaws of the Sun

"Heavy Blues bolstered with some low tuning and fuzzed up crunch allow Boudain to cruise through their new album like the biggest gator in the bayou."
- The Sludgelord

"A raw and unrefined collection, and all the better for it. The hoof is the future"
- Powerplay Magazine

"If you like your music loud, guitar-driven, and full of grooves, then Way of the Hoof is an album you'll want to add to your collection and blare out of your windows."

- Examiner.com (Schwindy's Indie Music Spotlight)

"This album is full of energy!"
- Antichrist Magazine

"Vegans beware: Boudain are bringing the meat and hooves!"
- Sorrow Eternal

Boudin is a Cajun sausage dish that is most frequently rolled into a ball, battered, and deep-fried. Coincidentally, BOUDAIN is also one of the heaviest bands you're bound to find North of Lake Pontchartrain in Louisiana, a state known for both its crispy, fried pig fat, as well as its crispy, fried, pig-fat-soaked stoner metal bands.

Praise for 2013 EP:

"Southern-fried doomy hard rock in the vein of Clutch and Kyuss. Incredibly heavy and makes the perfect soundtrack to a day of drinking beer in a kiddie pool in the scorching heat." - Brandon Ringo (New Noise Magazine)

Cairiss' "FALL"

"Mirth is spun from threads of grief"

Format: Digital, CD
Label: Independent
Release Date: June 06, 2016

Cairiss is comprised of five persons from Southampton, United Kingdom and the sound they've crafted in their self-released digital debut "Fall" is airily dark and uplifting. Vocalist Freyja Brown alternates thoughtfully between light and swaying deliveries and throat-killing screams as her fellow musicians unveil creations of atmospheric post-black metal that alternate with her in routines sublime and spacious as well as punishing and claustrophobic in pace.

When Cairiss isn't putting a listener through stirring motions with carefully orchestrated swells and blasting furies, they seem happy to help one meander upright through warm waves of post-rock-inspired melody. In these intervals, the guitar work from Ethan Bishop and Martin Williams is methodically effervescent.

However, Bishop and Williams' shared timing is very tight, pausing only at times to interplay in light spaces and provide easy-to-follow if too-brief introduction to dark tableau. The soloing, both hard and soft, seems cut from a rather different and gorgeous cloth than is typical for many bands of this variety and provides intrigue to the ears!

All told, "Fall" is a wonderful example of independently produced atmospheric black metal that can inspire a great deal of emotional response in a listener and marks an excellent debut for Cairiss.

SKELETONWITCH have transcended genre boundaries over the past decade with their trademark mixture of blackened thrash, death and heavy metal. It should therefore come as no surprise that their new EP, "The Apothic Gloom" (due Aug. 19), features some of their catchiest riffs and most pummeling rhythms to date, as well as more shredding than ever before. For proof, check out the seven-minute "Red Death, White Light," which is now available for instant download along with any digital pre-order of "The Apothic Gloom." Stream the epic track below via YouTube.

SKELETONWITCH - "Red Death, White Light" Official Stream

Channeling new energy via the addition of Adam Clemans (Wolvhammer) on vocals, the Ohio-based quintet headed to Baltimore's Developing Nations Studio earlier this year to record "The Apothic Gloom" with producer Kevin Bernstein (Noisem, Mutilation Rites). Eager to showcase their new sound, the band released the new song "Well of Despair," described by Noisey as "a cold blast of icy, melodic black metal," in advance of their appearance on this year's Decibel Magazine Tour alongside Abbath, High on Fire and Tribulation.
The complete track listing for "The Apothic Gloom" is as follows:

1. The Apothic Gloom (5:58)
2. Well of Despair (3:54) (watch)
3. Black Waters (3:47)
4. Red Death, White Light (7:12) (watch)

Digital pre-orders are available now at the following locations:

iTunes

- Metallic Gold Cassette Tape (125 copies)

The group will make their way across Canada this August surrounding the release of "The Apothic Gloom." See below for additional information. SUBROSA ANNOUNCE NEW ALBUM, ‘FOR THIS WE FOUGHT THE BATTLE OF AGES’ Available on CD, LP & digital formats from Profound Lore on August 26, 2016

Salt Lake City experimental doom band SubRosa are elated to announce their most triumphant and enveloping album to date; For This We Fought the Battle of Ages, due out August 26th from Profound Lore Records. Continuing the momentum from 2013’s More Constant Than the Gods, which saw year-end acclaim in metal and mainstream outlets, For this We Fought The Battle of Ages brings a new awareness to SubRosa as one of the most prominent progressive metal bands from America today. The band’s crushing monolithic sound canvas consists of a devastating mix of soul-crushing doom, innovative chamber music (solidified by the band’s two electric violin players) and balladry all filtered through the veil of American gothic tragedy.

Guitarist Rebecca Vernon’s vision for SubRosa brewed for some years before songwriting for the band began in the beginning of 2005; debut album The Worm Has Turned was released the following year, the Strega LP followed in 2008 and SubRosa went on to self-releaseThe Swans Trapped In Ice EP in 2009. In 2011, SubRosa’s groundbreaking full-length album No Help For The Mighty Ones was released on Profound Lore Records; No Help received extensive critical acclaim. With the band’s lineup solidified with Vernon alongside Kim Pack (electric violin, vocals), Sarah Pendleton (electric violin, vocals), Levi Hanna (bass) and Andy Patterson (drums), SubRosa released More Constant Than the Gods in 2013 which topped countless year end lists including Decibel Magazine, Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, SPIN, Entertainment Weekly and more.

Now, SubRosa will release For This We Fought the Battle of Ages which sees the band expanding their sound to a new plateau with their heaviest, darkest, and most dynamic-sounding album to date through bigger-sounding production value (the new album was fully engineered and mixed by drummer Andy Patterson). With the awareness brought onto the band with the new album’s predecessor, which also saw SubRosa on their most active touring schedule yet, For This We Fought the Battle of Ages will bring push the band further as they prepare to unveil their most important and crucial album in their repertoire.

SubRosa will tour the globe extensively in support of For This We Fought the Battle of Ages - the band has confirmed a European tour in September and October and will tour the U.S. following in the Fall. More info coming soon.

For This We Fought the Battle of Ages Tracklist:

BLOOD INCANTATION's Full-Length Debut - Starspawn - Out 8.19.16

Colorado death metal band BLOOD INCANTATION will release its debut full-length album this summer on Dark Descent Records.

After signing with the label just prior to the August 2015 release of the Interdimensional Extinction EP, BLOOD INCANTATION returns with a 30-minute cerebral whirlwind of powerful atmospheric death metal. The intense and otherworldly technical/ambient/funeral death metal of Starspawn leaves the listener feeling transcendentally disembodied at the end of an unknown dimension.

Dark Descent Records included album track "Choaplasm" on its most recent digital sampler. Stream the song here.

Produced entirely in analog, the energy and magnetism of live BLOOD INCANTATION is tangibly melting through the speakers, and the songwriting, production and performance constellations have all fully aligned.

With appearances at California Death Fest and Covenant Festival (Canada) already on the horizon, and an even more extensive US tour this September, the worldwide spread of the BLOOD INCANTATION tentacles into all orbits is as inevitable as your own death and this galaxy's violent collapse.

Dark Descent Records will release the album on CD, vinyl, cassette and digital formats.
